Heraclitus of Ephesus (c. 500 BCE) remains one of the most enigmatic and compelling figures of Pre-Socratic Western philosophy. He stands as a titan of intellectual defiance, having forged a paradigm that challenged the very foundations of thought in his era.

Professor Dr. Soraj Hongladarom reflects on the unique nature of Heraclitean thought:

"The defining characteristic of Heraclitus is his radical distinctness from his Western peers. His nearest intellectual kin may well be the Postmodernists.
