We are an independent publishing house and a concept bookshop which have officially published books since 2008. It was founded by Chaiyaporn Intuwisankul and Piyavit Tepumnuaysakul. Our books focus on various radical topics on literature, philosophy, politics and history. From the first day, every books published under the name ‘Sommadhi’ is the book that we have carefully selected and placed to be ‘good’ for our readers.

We believe in the ability of book to contain the essence of humanity, the nature of life, and the reality of the world. Packed in words, these ultimate truths are hidden between the lines, and they are up to the reader to discover its meaning from the classics of many nationality (Russian, German, American, Japanese, Swedish and etc.).



We also conclude that no particular style of books is better than the others; therefore, we aim to publish books as diverse as possible. Various kinds of Thai literature such as short stories, novel, prose or poetry are what we have continually been publishing. Those pieces of writings are from Thai writers who believe in the power of words and persevers in writing. They are the people who observe how society changes.



Moreover, we have published non-fiction that offers a broader perspective towards certain topics regarding philosophy, politic, economy, sociology, humanity and religion. In addition, we also provide translated non-fiction, for instance, the work of Karl Marx and Max Weber as well.




These are what we believe in and who we are.
